Hasta Luego, Epic Empties

Epic empties clean beauty gems on Pura Vida Sometimes
I used up a bunch of my faves and re-stocking is gonna be spendy, but always an adventure, right? I pay tribute here to a few of my friends over the last few years. They’ve made me beautiful, they made me happy, they’ve taught me that green can be luxurious.
Hydrating floral essence and eye creme

Tata Harper: This brand is a celebrity favorite with good reason. Originating on a farm in Vermont, this line is clinically-proven to be extremely effective, it feels high-end, and from each product emanates the sweet and subtle scent of flowers and earth. Any time I use Tata’s products, I breath deep and am transported to a place of indulgence. The Hydrating Floral Essence is a lifesaver in dry Arizona summers – it hydrates and restores – the whole family finds it invigorationg (…when I share). The Restorative Eye Crème got rid of my emerging crows feet – ‘nuf said.

W3LL People Narcissist Foundation Stick: This stick is quite the traveler – she has been all around the world with me, and blends well wherever she goes. At first we weren’t gelling because it seemed hard to spread (especially on my dry skin), but if you apply a few drops of oil first, it glides on beautifully.

Mineral Fusion Sheer Moisture Lip Tint in Shimmer (also available at Whole Foods): When I finished this color, I thought, “Well I have so many lip products, I’m going to use what I have before I get another Mineral Fusion.” It was a practical thought that didn’t last long. After a couple days, I missed it. It goes on so light and sheer like a lip balm, with a light rose gold tint – like you wish your lips looked naturally. I had to take a photo because it’s just too good for words.

Blissoma Bright – Eye Vitalizing Nutrient Serum: New baby, 3 hours of sleep, and up at 6am to get to work on-time. A [big] cup of coffee, a little illuminizer, and a shot of Blissoma Bright, and no one even knew I was crying on the inside. “Man, she does it all.” Not really, I have good products, like this instant pick-me-up for the facial feature that otherwise betrays.

Kypris Antioxidant Dew: This artfully wildcrafted, potent serum is designed to mix with other Kypris elixirs (oils) but it mixes beautifully with all my favorite oils to permeate the skin’s barrier and hydrate like no other. It’s very light and very hydrating. I may have an arsenal of oils, but this serum is a constant.

Kypris, OLO Skin Savior, RMS
One Love Organics Skin Savior: When I first purchased this product and new to the clean beauty scene, I had reservations about spending so much on a balm, but even with regular use, this product has real longevity. It is my single favorite first step for double cleansing. I’m a little embarrassed to admit that I had this literal savior balm so long, the packing is outdated.

RMS Living Luminizer: The two things I love most about this highlighter are the feel on my skin (goes on smooth and the coconut oil moisturizes) and the natural look of it. You can use it anywhere on your face the light hits, and you’ll look dewy rather than made up or blingy – instantly awake and fresh. I’m a little obsessed with strobing and this little pot of glow is tops. Plus, it packs easily in a purse, luggage, a pocket. I used every last speck and had to stop myself from licking the bowl clean, so to speak.

Every Drop Beauty Spatula (heart-shaped spatula in the Tata and Kypris photos above): Certain themes on Pura Vida. Sometimes. are surfacing, and one is definitely my frugality. I really do use products to the last drop, and these little cosmetic spears are enablers. To be frank, the spatula is a little bit wide for some of my dainty skincare products, so you have to shove it in, but well worth the effort for the cheap and determined.
In clean beauty as in life, when when door closes another opens, and I am free to explore other brands that have piqued my curiosity, so I say hasta luego to this month’s empties, because this tribute does not imply the finality of goodbye, but a rather later gator to a few of my favorites.
